Overview

Brunel University is located less than an hour away from the city of London, in Uxbridge. The University has over 16,150 students and three Academic Colleges:

  • Business, Arts and Social Sciences,
  • Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences,
  • Health, Medicine and Life Sciences.

Brunel was ranked as the 93rd best university worldwide in the field of engineering and technology, 32nd among European institutions and 11th among British institutions according to 2014-2015 THES world rankings.

The Brunel University provides a four-year-long program including one year’s work placement before graduation. This correlates with Brunel’s graduates having 13th highest starting salaries upon graduation in the country.

The institution was one of the first UK universities to enter the Formula Student engineering competition, in which universities from around the world compete using formula style racing cars designed and manufactured by students. Since first entering in 1999, they have won the prizes every year. Several hundred million pounds worth modern campus allows students to enjoy world class teaching, social and sport facilities.

Brunel University has recently launched Students First programme - a cross-university initiative ensuring that the student experience is at the heart of everything they do. It supports students from day one at the University and helps them adapt to a student’s life.
