Overview
Solent University is a public research university based in Southampton (Hampshire). The University is home to 10500 students of over 100 different nationalities. It offers courses within the following academic faculties:
- Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies,
- Faculty of Creative Industries, Architecture and Engineering,
- Faculty of Sport, Health and Social Science,
- Warsash Maritime School.
Solent’s maritime courses are one of the best in the world. The University offers over 150 accredited deck, engineering, interior, maritime and offshore safety training courses. Warsash Maritime School has provided first class maritime education, training and consultancy to the maritime and offshore industries for over 70 years. Yachting is a strong discipline for Solent University too. Many Solent’s yachting team members are former Olympians and previous world champions.
