Overview
With approximately 27,000 students across four campuses, Ulster University (UU) is the largest University in Northern Ireland and second largest on the whole island. This public institution has campuses not only in Northern Ireland, but also London and Birmingham.
UU is a relatively young University. It is in the top 150 global institutions under 50 years of age in The Times Higher Education 150 Under 50 World University rankings. It is also in top five universities in the UK for world-leading research in law, biomedical sciences, nursing and art and design (Excellence Framework 2014).
Ulster has one of the highest further study and employment rates in the UK - over 92% of its graduates begin work or further study six months after graduation. Courses cover such disciplines as arts, business, engineering, information technology, life and health sciences, management, and social sciences. Courses have a strong vocational element and the majority include a period of industrial or professional placement.
Ulster University London Campus is known for its business courses, which thanks to London’s strong economic position give plenty of opportunity for work placements already during the course of study.
